HOBO STEW FOIL PACKET RECIPE
Hobo Stew is a long-time favorite camping recipe. What makes Hobo Stew so great, even picky
eaters will love it because they use their favorite ingredients. These are some of our favorite
ingredients for Hobo Stew, but you can use whatever your campers enjoy.

INGREDIENTS
2 pounds beef chuck, trimmed, cubed and tossed in Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup onions, diced • 1 cup baby carrots • ¼ cup frozen peas or corn, defrosted
½ cup fresh mushrooms, sliced Garlic • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
1 cup baby potatoes, small cubes • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary for flavor (toss before eating)
1 bunch of fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Put your favorite ingredients into the foil (use heavy foil). When your done with your ingredients fold
up your packet leaving room for steam to build to cook the ingredients. Place the packets in hot
coals at the edge of the fire or on a grate. If the weather isn’t cooperating, they cook well on a grill.
