One of the country's most popular tourist destinations; the Greater Atlantic City Region offers a world-famous beach and boardwalk, casinos, championship golf courses, wildlife refuges, shopping, wineries, amusements, and entertainment.

While in Atlantic City, stroll or pedal down the six-mile boardwalk and enjoy the ocean breezes. Stop by the new 250-foot high Observation Wheel at the Steel Pier. In September, the Miss America Pageant comes to town for the famous parade and competition. In addition to Tanger Outlets the town boasts many boutique shops along with amazing restaurants. And if you left camping supplies at home or want to upgrade, Bass Pro Shops and Columbia are in town.

In the heart of the region, you will find Historic Smithville Village with unique shops and Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Refuge which protects more than 47,000 acres of southern New Jersey coastal habitats which is actively managed for migratory birds. The refuge offers hunting, fishing, birding, and wildlife photography. Stockton Seaview Country Club, host of the Shoprite LPGA Classic, offers championship golf and world class dining.

Scattered throughout the region you will find many award-winning wineries and breweries. Enjoy the day as you tour their establishments enjoying the fine local wines and brews.

Revel in bay heritage along a beautiful waterfront in Somers Point or visit the landmark mansion of original harbormaster Richard Somers, the oldest home in all of Atlantic County, it a museum today. Marvel at the world's only 63-foot pachyderm with a visit to Lucy the Margate Elephant, an area historical museum. Or have your children experience their favorite nursery rhythm characters in life size at Storybook Land.
