GATEWAY REGION
The Gateway Region lies along the Northeast border of New Jersey. The region is rich in culture and history and just
minutes to New York City. A visit to Ellis Island, the majestic Statue of Liberty, and the Liberty Science Center are a must.
The region is also host to world class golf courses, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, and Thomas
Edison’s home in West Orange.
There is plenty to see and do in the great outdoors while camping in the Gateway Region. Discover the jagged cliffs of the
Palisades looming 530 feet above the Hudson River. Enjoy the Great Falls of Paterson, where the roar of the water plunging
70 feet into its stone chasm can be heard several city blocks away. Stroll through the many parks in the region and enjoy the
great outdoors. If the weather has you running indoors, the region is rich with
unbelievable shopping opportunities. Small businesses fill the downtowns of
the quaint towns along with shopping malls to lose the day in.
