GATEWAY REGION






         Along New Jersey’s northeastern border lies the Gateway Region, rich in culture and history and just minutes to New
         York City. When in the region you will have the opportunity to visit Ellis Island and the majestic Statue of Liberty, world
         class golf courses, New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, and Thomas Edison’s home in West Orange.


         The Gateway regions offers many opportunities for exploring the great outdoors. Discover the jagged cliffs of the
         Palisades looming 530 feet above the Hudson River. Enjoy the Great Falls of Paterson, where the roar of the water
         plunging 70 feet into its stone chasm can be heard several city blocks away.

         Meadowlands Liberty CVB – NJ’s entertainment capital! Professional
         sports, dinosaurs, world class shopping and dining, along with historical
         sites. The Meadowlands offers something for everyone.

         Grammy Museum Experience – Prudential Center, Newark – The
         GRAMMY Museum Experience Prudential Center offers guests a chance
         to experience music and the GRAMMYs. Exhibits allow guests to get
         hands-on and learn, while also exploring what it takes to become a

         Ellis Island & Statue of Liberty – Jersey City – After you learn about
         your ancestors’ voyage to America and search for them in the logs, enjoy
         a boat ride to the Statue of Liberty and see her as they did on their arrival.

         Paterson Great Falls – Paterson – In 1791, Paterson, America’s first
         planned industrial city, was established, centered around the Great Falls
         of the Passaic River. From humble mills would rise industries that changed

         Elizabeth, NJ Tourism  - Elizabeth, NJ was been host to many famed
         American figures such as George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, and
         Aaron Burr. Elizabeth is also home to the largest indoor outlet malls, the
         Mills at Jersey Gardens.

         Beyond the Food Plates  - Highly curated culinary tours are led
         by local tour guides weekly in Jersey City, monthly in Somerville, and
         bi-monthly in Red Bank and Princeton. A ticket includes select food and

         Get Outdoors – The Gateway Region has a variety of state parks for
         outdoor adventures. Some spots to visit include, Warinanco Park,
         Elizabeth River Trail, Norvin Green State Forest, Wawayanda State Park,
         Palisades Interstate Park, Ringwood State Park.
