2021 NJ Campcation Photo Contest

New Jersery Campground Owners & Outdoor Lodging Association (NJOCA) is excited to announce their 2021 New Jersey Campcation Photo Contest. Campers are invited to take photos of their 2021 New Jersey camping experience and submit the photos and contest forms to NJCOA via email, info@campnj.com.

NJCOA Executive Director Joann DelVescio said the association decided to continue the NJ Campcation Photo Contest for the 2021 year since they had such a great response to last year's contest. They held the contest last year as a way to get campers excited about their New Jersey campcations and to show others what camping means to them through the lens of their camera. DelVescio mentioned that most of the photos they received last year were of smiling families and children. It was heartwarming to see, via the photos, families making memories especially during the trying times. It was hard for the committee to choose one photo but found 7 photos that they felt deserved recognition. Those photos can be found in the 2021 New Jersey Campground & Outdoor Lodging Vacation Guide and on NJCOA social media accounts.

With how the world changed last year the association discovered more people were giving camping a try and taking 'campcations' instead of traditional vacations. A campcation is heading out into the wide-open road and exploring all New Jersey has to offer while staying in your personal hotel room on wheels. The best part of a New Jersey campcation is camping at the unique campgrounds spread throughout the state. Campgrounds in New Jersey offer plenty of room for vacationers to spread out and enjoy the great outdoors. Kids can easily explore the campground on foot or bike or head to the sports courts all while remaining close to their campsite. For those who do not own an RV, they can easily rent one or rent a unique outdoor lodging accommodation available at most New Jersey campgrounds. New Jersey campgrounds offer tepees, tree houses, retro campers, A-frames, cabins (rustic to deluxe), yurts, or safari tents. Some rental options include individual bedrooms, kitchenettes, bathrooms, and other modern amenities like TV's or gas fireplaces.

Traveling in your RV (or renting an RV) is great way to see the attractions throughout New Jersey while staying close to home. You can enjoy so much within a 2-hour drive of your home, the beaches and boardwalks along the Jersey shore when camping in a variety of the regions. If you want to hit the water, boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, or looking for hiking or biking trails New Jersey is the spot for you. All these activities can be found throughout the state; however, the Skylands Region allows you to hike part of the Appalachian Trail. New Jersey towns offer a unique shop experience and a many area have a nice selection of outlet malls. Jersey Fresh produce can be found all over the state at the many farm stands or farmers markets. Jersey offers some of the best produce, perfect for cooking over the campfire. There are a considerable number of historic sites, from early American to WWII, to see all through the state along with an array of lighthouses that line the coast. No road trip would be complete without food and New Jersey offers some of the best restaurants. Just ask your New Jersey campground host where the best restaurants are, and you will not be disappointed with the vast selection of eateries. New Jersey wineries and breweries that are scattered throughout the state and are a must visit.

The rules are simple, your photograph must be taken in a New Jersey campground during 2021 and you must be an amateur photographer. More information about the contest along with the submission form, rules, and model release form.
